  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 3 tbs applesauce
  • ¼ cup of melted butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1 chopped apple (Optional: recommended Bramley apple)

  • (Optional) 1/4 cup favorite beer, bourbon, or wine

  1. In a large Ziploc bag, pour in the liquids:
    • two tbs olive oil
    • ¼ cup of melted butter
    • 3 tbs applesauce
    • (Optional)  1/4 cup favorite beer, bourbon, or wine
  2. Then add other ingredients, and make sure Ziploc bag is stabilized (won't spill)
  3. Lastly gently insert four boneless pork chops and zip the bag with as little air as possible
    • Gently mix by rubbing ingredients back in forth in the bag
    • Let sit for a minimum of 3 hours, preferably 6-10hours for flavor to soak into the pork chops and allow it to tenderize.

    • Sear for about 30 seconds on each side, or until slightly charred, turning only once. If flare-ups occur, temporarily move chops away from coals until flames subside.
  4. Move them to the least hot area and close the grill cover
    • Temp should remain around 200-275°F. 
    • Once the chops have browned properly, move them to the cooler side of the grill to finish grilling with indirect heat. The bone-in part should be upside down to protect the meat from the heat. If you are using a digital thermometer, insert it into the thickest part of the chop to measure the 145°F temp when pork chops are done.
